From peaks to canals
From 2026 February until December
In Europe, From Niort (France) to Venice (Italy)
A multidisciplinary dialogue between French painter Alain Churlaud and Venetian musician Enrico Coniglio. This project blends visual art and ambient music to explore two deeply personal landscapes: the mountains and Venice.
Born from a shared passion for nature and sound, the exhibition reconstructs these environments through abstraction rather than direct representation. Alain’s 12 paintings—six dedicated to the mountains and six to Venice—are created with sand and sawdust, using a limited color palette to evoke mood rather than realism. Enrico’s compositions, crafted from field recordings and synthesized sounds, mirror this approach, offering not a literal sonic postcard, but an immersive reinterpretation of place.
The exhibition unfolds as a journey, beginning in the glaciers of the Alps and descending to Venice until night. The artworks are arranged across opposing walls, allowing visitors to transition between the two landscapes, guided by ambient music that loops seamlessly through the space. A video installation documenting the creative process further enriches the experience.

The exhibition is presented as a living and ever-evolving experience.
Alain will create new works of art directly in front of visitors, offering them the opportunity to come into deeper contact with his creative universe.
On several occasions, Enrico will accompany the exhibition with live musical performances, presenting new compositions.
More than a single event, the project was born with an itinerant soul: an artistic journey that will culminate in Venice, where the visions of Alain and Enrico will merge in a final meeting.
